Vijay hazare trophy.. Bihar dominated day one 🔥

Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025: Records Tumble on Historic Opening Day The opening day of the 2025–26 Vijay Hazare Trophy witnessed one of the most extraordinary chapters in Indian domestic cricket history, with multiple long-standing List A records shattered across venues. Bihar created history by smashing 574 for 6 against Arunachal Pradesh, the highest total ever recorded in men’s List A cricket. The innings featured explosive batting, unprecedented six-hitting, and three centuries — a first in Vijay Hazare Trophy history. Teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, aged just 14, became the youngest player to score a List A century. He also registered the fastest 150 in men’s List A cricket, underlining his rapid rise at senior level. Sakibul Gani added to the carnage with one of the fastest centuries by an Indian in the format. Bihar’s innings included a record number of sixes, reflecting the aggressive nature of modern domestic one-day cricket. For Arunachal Pradesh, it turned into a difficult outing, with bowlers conceding record-breaking figures. Elsewhere, Karnataka chased down a 400-plus target, only the second such successful chase in List A cricket history, while Bengal completed a massive chase without any batter scoring a hundred, highlighting a strong team effort. Fielding records also fell as Kerala’s Vignesh Puthur took six catches, the most by any fielder in a men’s List A match. With over 20 individual centuries scored in a single day, the Vijay Hazare Trophy opener set a new benchmark for domestic one-day cricket and showcased the depth, power, and fearless intent of India’s next generation.
